On Thursday, RJ Mahvash was spotted shutting down a troll who claimed that she did not know anything about cricket and was just cashing in on rumoured boyfriend and Team India cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal's name and fame. Not one to mince words, Mahvash gave a befitting reply to the troll, asking him to get his facts straight.
It all began with Mahvash sharing a slew of photos from IPL 2025, most of them showing her posing in the stands and hanging out with the players of Chahal's team Punjab Kings in the dressing room. In the post, she also revealed that Chahal played the entire IPL till the very end with three fractures in his body.
It was then that a troll commented under the post: "She's just grabbing followers in the name of Yuzi, I bet she even started watching cricket until recently (sic)." This did not sit well with Mahvash, who decided to shut him once and for all.
"I have been hosting cricket since 2019, your knowledge is nil chotu! Research! (sic)," she replied.
Netizens lauded Mahvash for her savage response and also criticised the troll for his uncalled-for comment.
Mahvash was seen attending almost every match of Punjab Kings this IPL season and supporting Chahal from the stands. While this only added fuel to the rumours about them being in a relationship, it did not deter her from openly supporting Chahal.
On the sidelines of the IPL, she also said in an interview that she is "single and happy", confusing people about her bond with Chahal.
Rumours of Mahvash and Chahal dating first started doing the rounds around the time the cricketer's marriage with Dhanashree Verma hit rough waters. They eventually got divorced in March this year.
