OPSC Recruitment 2025: The schedule for the Physical Standard and Endurance Test (PST) for the roles of Forest Ranger and Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) has been released by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).
This examination is reserved for students who passed the written exam held in August 2024. The admission cards will be available starting July 9, 2025.
This recruiting exam will take place from July 14 to July 20, 2025. A total of 176 individuals have qualified, including 45 for ACF and 131 for Forest Ranger positions.
About the OPSC Physical Test
Applicants' physical fitness for working in forests is assessed by the Physical Standard and Endurance Test (PST). It consists of:
The minimal height for male applicants is 163 cm. The chest measurement must be at least 79 cm when it is not inflated and 84 cm when it is enlarged. The chest must be able to expand by at least 5 cm. For women, the minimum height is 150 cm, and their chest measures must be 74 cm when unexpanded and 79 cm when inflated, with a minimum growth of 5 cm.
Applicants must also pass an endurance test along with taking physical measurements. Men must walk 25 km in 4 hours, and women must walk 16 km in the same amount of time.
Note: The PST, a crucial stage in the hiring process, assesses individuals' physical fitness for tasks involving the forest by measuring their height, chest, and walking.
OPSC Recruitment 2025: How to download the hall ticket?
To view the hall ticket, candidates need to follow the mentioned below steps:
Step 1: Go to the official website - opsc.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the “ACF/Forest Ranger PST Admit Card 2025” link.
Step 3: Next, enter the details such as registration number and date of birth.
Step 4: Now, the admit card will appear on the screen.
Step 5: Download the hall ticket and take a printout of the same for further reference.
OPSC Recruitment 2025: Documents required
On the day of the endurance and physical tests, candidates need to bring the following documents: a printed admission card, two passport-sized pictures, a valid photo ID (such as an Aadhar, voter ID, or PAN), and a fitness certificate, if necessary.
