DUSU Elections 2025: The Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) elections for the year 2025 will be held on September 18, and counting of votes will be done on September 19, as per the official notification issued by the Delhi University.
Voting Timings for Day and Evening Students
In order to make the maximum number of participants available, the voting will be conducted in two shifts. Students from day classes will vote from 8:30 AM to 1 PM, whereas the students from evening classes can vote from 3 PM to 7:30 PM.
Important Dates for Nomination Process
Contenders for the elections have to file their nomination papers by September 10, 3 PM, along with a demand draft of ₹500 (yearly fee) and a bond of ₹1 lakh. Scrutiny of the nomination papers will be carried out on the same day at 3:15 PM, and the list of valid nominations will be made public by 6 PM.
Those who want to withdraw their nominations should do so by 12 PM on September 11, and the last list of candidates will be declared by 5 PM on the same day.
Where to Submit Nomination Papers
Nomination forms for DUSU central panel posts can be submitted at the Conference Centre, which is situated opposite the Botany Department in North Campus. Candidates have to submit their nominations at their colleges or departments for Central Council seats.

Delhi University has placed all the necessary documents, such as the Code of Conduct, DUSU Constitution, Supreme Court judgments, and other rules related to elections, on its official website in pursuance of transparency and to abide by.
Last year's election outcomes
In last year's DUSU elections, the NSUI (National Students’ Union of India) staged a comeback after seven years by winning two key posts — President and Joint Secretary. NSUI’s Raunak Khatri won the President seat, and Lokesh Choudhary was elected as Joint Secretary.
The ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad), backed by the RSS, secured the Vice President and Secretary positions. Bhanu Pratap won the Vice President post, while Mitravinda Karanwal claimed the Secretary role.
