The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the timeline for the re-evaluation and verification process of the answer sheets of supplementary exams for Class 10 and Class 12. It provides a chance for students who took supplementary exams to check and possibly enhance their marks.
The re-assessment process, as per the board, will be carried out in two stages. At the initial stage, students are eligible to apply for scanned copies of their answer sheets. After checking their answers, they can move to the second stage, in which they can ask for verification of marks, re-assessment of particular questions, or both.
Students must note that any alteration in marks, whether an increase or decrease, will be final. In case of changing the marks, students will be provided with a new Mark Sheet-cum-Certificate, and the original should be submitted back to the board.
Key Dates and Fees for Students of Class 12
For Class 12 candidates, the window for seeking scanned copies of the answer books will be available between August 6 to August 7, 2025, at a cost of ₹700 per subject. Verification and re-evaluation applications can be made between August 13 to August 14, at a verification cost of ₹500 per subject and ₹100 per question for re-evaluation.
Key Dates and Fees for Class 10 Candidates
The students of Class 10 may obtain scanned answer scripts between August 8 and August 9, 2025, at ₹500 per subject. The verification and re-evaluation application window will be available from August 18 to August 19, with the same fee policy as Class 12.
Students have to place their applications on the official website of CBSE. The board has specified that there is no offline facility, and offline submissions will not be entertained under any circumstances. Also, the fee is non-refundable, irrespective of whether a change in marks occurs or not.
Compartment Exam Results for Class 10 Expected Soon
The CBSE will be declaring the Class 10 compartmental exam results soon. The exams were conducted between July 15 and July 22, and as per the previous years' trends, the results are expected within the first week of August. The board has declared the CBSE class 12th result 2025.
Earlier, the board announced the overall Class 10 results on May 13, 2025, at a pass percentage of 93.66%. Out of 23.71 lakh candidates who had appeared, 22.21 lakh cleared the exam successfully.
