Bihar CSBC Driver Constable Recruitment 2025: The Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC), Bihar, has issued the official notification for hiring Driver Constable posts. The online application process will start from July 21, 2025, and end on August 20, 2025. Interested applicants can download the detailed notification from the official CSBC website at csbc.bihar.gov.in.
This recruitment process has the goal of filling 4,361 posts. Candidates are also recommended to read the official notice carefully before starting the application process so that they are sure they possess all the eligibility conditions.
Application Fees
The fee for the application is fixed at ₹180 for candidates who fall in the category of SC and ST, while others will have to pay ₹675. The fee needs to be paid through online mode only.
Selection Process
The process of selection will be a written test and then the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Yet, let it be understood that neither the written examination nor the PET will decide on the final merit list. The written examination will be qualifying in nature, meant only for shortlisting the candidates for the PET. In the same way, the PET will be a qualifying phase for the motor vehicle driving efficiency test and verification of documents, which will form the basis for the final choice.
Age Limit Parameters for Candidates
The age of the applicants will be determined from the date of birth indicated in the Matriculation or a comparable examination certificate. In accordance with the cut-off date, candidates' maximum age limit will be as follows:
For General (Unreserved) category candidates:
Minimum age – 20 years
Maximum age – 25 years
For candidates belonging to Backward Classes (BC) and Extremely Backward Classes (EBC) – Male:
Minimum age – 20 years
Maximum age – 27 years
For BC and EBC – Female candidates:
Minimum age – 20 years
Maximum age – 28 years
For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Transgender category:
Minimum age – 20 years
Maximum age – 30 years
For candidates already employed as constables under Bihar Police Department (currently serving or formerly appointed on contract basis): The upper age limit will be exempted by the duration of contractual service for candidates applying for constable post.
