This year, Rajit Gupta of the IIT Delhi zone topped the list with All India Rank (AIR) 1 and a score of 332 out of 360. Devdutta Majhi was the top scorer among women candidates.
Meanwhile, the seat allotment for JoSAA Round 6 was released on Wednesday. Allotted candidates for the first time in this round are required to finalize the document uploading process and pay the admission fee on or before 5 PM on July 20, 2025 (Sunday).
The JEE Advanced 2025 results were announced by IIT Kanpur in advance on June 2, 2025, at 10 PM. The results were published online via the very same official website. Candidates were only eligible to appear for the Advanced examination if they had qualified in JEE Main 2025. The Advanced exam is the entrance to undergraduate programs in engineering at the country's 23 IITs.

JEE Main is conducted twice a year, usually in January and April, in computer-based mode. Candidates can appear for either or both sessions, and the best score is used for admission as well as for eligibility to sit for JEE Advanced.
Conducted in May, JEE Advanced is considered to be one of India's most competitive engineering entrance examinations, with more than 2 lakh candidates appearing each year. Apart from the IITs, results of JEE Advanced are used by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and a few other top colleges for a limited number of programs.
