IndiGo Launches Daily Direct Flights Between Jharsuguda & Mumbai

The new service was officially inaugurated by Jharsuguda MLA Tankadhar Tripathy in the presence of the Airport Director, officials from the Airports Authority of India (AAI), and representatives of IndiGo.

Jharsuguda now has a direct air link with Mumbai as IndiGo commenced its daily flight service between the two cities on Saturday. The inaugural flight from Mumbai landed at Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda with 122 passengers on board and was welcomed with a ceremonial water cannon salute. The return flight to Mumbai departed with 92 passengers.

The new service was officially inaugurated by Jharsuguda MLA Tankadhar Tripathy in the presence of the Airport Director, officials from the Airports Authority of India (AAI), and representatives of IndiGo.

IndiGo stated that the introduction of this route will enhance inter-state connectivity and unlock economic and trade opportunities for both regions. “By linking Jharsuguda with Mumbai, a major commercial and industrial hub, we aim to position Jharsuguda as a key gateway for regional growth and development,” said Vinay Malhotra, IndiGo’s Head of Global Sales, according to an OdishaBytes report. He emphasized IndiGo’s commitment to providing affordable, on-time, and seamless travel experiences across its extensive network.

The airline expects this route to improve accessibility, encourage business expansion, and strengthen economic ties between Mumbai and Jharsuguda. The new connectivity is anticipated to benefit traders, industrialists, and travellers by offering a convenient and efficient travel option.

Flight Schedule

Mumbai to Jharsuguda: Flight 6E 811 departs from Mumbai at 10:55 AM and arrives in Jharsuguda at 1:00 PM.

Jharsuguda to Mumbai: Flight 6E 5155 departs from Jharsuguda at 2:20 PM and reaches Mumbai at 4:15 PM.
