New Delhi: From August 15, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has introduced the Annual FASTag Pass for people who often travel on highways. With this pass, private vehicle owners can avoid paying toll fees every time they cross a toll plaza.
This facility is only for non-commercial private vehicles such as cars, jeeps, and vans. Once you buy this pass, you can travel on national highways and expressways without making repeated toll payments at each plaza.

How it works
The Annual FASTag Pass works as a prepaid system and is linked to your existing FASTag.
Valid for 200 trips or one year from activation — whichever comes first.
Each crossing of a toll plaza counts as one trip.
Cost: Rs 3,000 one-time payment.
You can easily purchase it online via the Rajmarg Yatra app or the NHAI website.

Saves time and money
The annual pass allows cashless and quick toll payments, which reduces waiting time at toll plazas and makes your journey smoother.
According to estimates, frequent travellers can save up to Rs 7,000 a year on toll expenses.
Key benefits
Lower annual toll expenses — potential savings of Rs 7,000 per year.
No frequent stops at toll plazas.
Works with your existing FASTag — no need to buy a separate tag.
Valid on all national highways and expressways in India.
Where it won’t work
Not valid on state highways or toll plazas managed by state governments — there, you must pay through the regular FASTag method.
Non-transferable — valid only for the registered vehicle linked to the FASTag.
If used in another vehicle, the pass will be cancelled.
