Madhya Pradesh: Passengers Risk Lives Riding On Bus Roofs In Panna, Authorities Turn Blind Eye | FP Image

Panna (Madhya Pradesh): A viral video has surfaced online in which passengers can be seen travelling on bus roof and risking their lives. The scene is said to be from Pahadi Kheda Road in Panna district

Passengers are openly flouting traffic norms and safety regulations with police turning a blind eye. This disturbing sight highlights a failure of the authorities to ensure basic transport safety.

Despite the clear risk, the administration on the ground did not notice them or rather, even if they did, they chosen to turn a blind eye? The administration’s silence until now suggests a troubling pattern of negligence.

When the traffic police station in-charge asked about the matter he said that strict action will be taken against the accused. He stated that the concerned bus operators will face penalties and that surveillance along major routes will be intensified to prevent similar incidents.

However, such assurances raise concern that why must action follow only after public outrage or media exposure? This incident is a reminder that negligence of administration can put countless lives at risk. The administration must act swiftly, not just in response, but in prevention.
