Damoh (Madhya Pradesh) : As temperature continues to soar in Madhya Pradesh, a brawl broke out over water access in Damoh's Dhamara village. Two groups, here, allegedly clashed over a water tap connection and were caught on camera hitting each other with sticks.

According to the residents, an argument broke out near a public water tap, when both groups tried to draw water from the same tap connection simultaneously. The argument quickly escalated into a violent fight leading to physical altercations, both the groups allegedly used sticks. Several people sustained injuries before the administration calmed the situation.

People who sustained injuries are undergoing treatment in the nearby district hospital.

This incident quickly caught people's attention when a video got viral on social media. In the video two groups can be seen thrashing each other with sticks which sparked the concern of water crisis and rumours about use of sharp weapons during the brawl.

SDM claims that there is no water crisis in the area

However, Tendukheda SDM Saurabh Gandharv claimed that there is no water shortage in the area. In an official statement, he ensured that the situation has been brought under control and clarified that no sharp weapons were used during the fight.

"There is no water crisis in the village, the fight broke out because of some internal issues amongst the two groups. The altercation didn't include any sharp objects, and the police administration is investigating the matter closely to draw a conclusion" SDM Gandharv added.
