Special Facilities For Divyangjans At MP Tourist Spots; Ramp, Wheelchairs & More

Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board will rejuvenate tourist spots for the disabled who wish to easily visit the historical heritage of the state.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Good news for all specially-abled individuals who love to explore tourist spots! Divyangjans will now have access to many facilities at tourist spots in Maheshwar-Dhar, including Madhya Pradesh's City of Joy, Mandu, and Ram Raja's city, Orchha.

These facilities will include ramps, Braille signboards, and wheelchairs. Work on these improvements has already begun. The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board is working on the 'Accessibility Infrastructure and Development' project.

Under this initiative, access for Divyangjans is being made easier and more accessible with facilities such as ramps, Braille signboards, wheelchairs, etc., in Maheshwar, Mandu, Dhar, and Orchha.

Shivshekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture Department, said, under the guidance of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and the leadership of Minister Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi, we are moving forward towards including more and more sites of Madhya Pradesh in the permanent list of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites.

Madhya Pradesh is rich in sites of archaeological, geological and natural importance. We are constantly making efforts for the convenience of tourists at tourist places. This will increase the number of tourists and also boost the economy.

Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board will rejuvenate tourist spots for the disabled who wish to easily visit the historical heritage of the state. The board is initially working on the Accessibility Infrastructure and Development Project in Maheshwar, Mandu, Dhar and Orchha.

A detailed action plan to provide facilities to the disabled has been prepared.

This initiative is proposed to be run with financial assistance from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
