Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): A shocking incident from Chattarpur has come to light where a group of miscreants barged into a villager's house, opened fire and abducted his wife and kids.
The incident unfolded in Shumedi village of Gram Panchayat Peera under Lavkushnagar police station of Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh.
According to reports, Sanjay Singh Rajput, along with more than a dozen armed people came in cars and bikes. They stormed into Hariram Pal's house just to beat him up and open fire. Amidst all the firing Hariram got shot. The miscreants then forcibly took away his wife and children at gunpoint before fleeing the scene.
According to Hariram, Sanjay Singh Rajput had been watching his wife with wrong intentions since last few days. He said, " Yesterday Sanjay Singh came and sat at my door and was making dirty gestures, which my sister-in-law saw". Hariram then asked Sanjay to leave, upon this Sanjay started hurling abuses and started to pick a fight.
"Today, he returned with 30–40 goons. My wife was not feeling good and she was partially dressed while lying in her room. Suddenly we heard gunshots and saw Sanjay with his aides. Sanjay fired at me and dragged my wife in an inappropriate state at gunpoint along with my kids". He added
According to Hariram, there is a terror of Sanjay Rajput amongst the villagers and no one dares to speak up against him.
Video surfaces
The entire act of abduction and opening fire was caught on camera. The video evidently shows armed men with sticks, gunshots can be heard in the background as bystanders watch with fear.
ILavkush Nagar SDOP Naveen Dubey confirmed that the accused has kidnapped the woman. Police has rounded up one accused so far. The search for the woman and other accused is on.
A matter of love
The SDOP says that the matter is of love affair. He said, "The wife of the injured was having a love affair with Sanjay Singh. Earlier they used to live in Lavkushnagar. When the husband came to know about their relationship, he shifted to village with his wife".
