Morena (Madhya Pradesh): Angry over the ongoing shortage of fertilizer in the region, farmers in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district staged a protest on Wednesday by blocking roads and raising slogans against the administration.
The farmers gathered outside the cooperative society office in Sabalgarh tehsil and blocked the main road, demanding immediate availability of DAP (Di-Ammonium Phosphate) fertilizer.

The protest caused traffic disruption and tension in the area.
According to reports, farmers claimed that despite repeated visits to the cooperative centre, they were unable to get fertilizer. Many alleged that the staff at the society misbehaved with them and asked them to leave without any clear explanation.

“Fertilizer is not available, and when we come to ask, they threaten and misbehave with us. What are we supposed to do? Crops won’t wait,” a protesting farmer said.
The farmers accused the local cooperative society of hoarding and black-marketing fertilizers, while the administration claimed that the supply was limited and being distributed as per government guidelines.

After hours of protest, police and local officials reached the spot and assured the farmers that the supply would soon be normalized. However, the agitating farmers warned that if their demands are not met, the protests will intensify in the coming days.
The incident highlights the growing frustration among farmers in various parts of Madhya Pradesh due to irregular supply of fertilizers during the sowing season.
