Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): 17-Year-Old girl accuses her stepfather of raping her while she was alone at home in Gwalior, police said on Thursday.

The disheartening case came to light when the victim's mother who was forcibly sent to her native village in Morena returned and the girl disclosed the whole trauma on Wednesday.

According to the reports the crime took place three days ago when the stepfather sent the victim's mother to Jaura a village in Morena deliberately and took advantage of the situation to sexually assault his stepdaughter.

Upon hearing the victim's ordeal, mother lodges a FIR

After the mother returned from Morena, the daughter narrated the whole ordeal. And the mother immediately lodged a complaint Bhanwarpura police station. The police took swift action and arrested the accused father before he could flee.

The accused had a prolonged ill intentions

The girl’s biological father had passed away 15 years ago, and her mother later remarried. Since childhood, the victim considered the accused as her father, but he allegedly had ill intentions towards her for a long time.

The minor begged for mercy in front of her father, but the accused did not relent.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Gajendra Singh Vardhman confirms that a minor was brutally raped by her step father. Upon the complaint of the minor, a case was registered against the accused under rape and POCSO Act and the accused has been held.
