Satna (Madhya Pradesh): More than 24 hours have passed since a youth shot at and injured a head constable inside the Jaitwara police station. But the cops are yet to lay their hands on the attackers.
Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Gupta sent a Munishi (clerk), Vijay Singh, posted in the Jaitwara police station to lines, on Wednesday.
He also announced a reward of Rs 30,000 for the arrest of Adarash Sharma, aka Achhu, who shot at the head constable, Prince Garg.
A team consisting of 40 policemen has swung into action to arrest the attacker.
A team has gone to the Mehuti village where the attacker’s relatives live.
Garg is undergoing treatment at the Rewa Medical College. Youth shot at Garg when he was about to take dinner.

The police registered a case against Achchu, who was suspected of stealing a motorcycle.
The youth got angry because the police questioned him about the bike-stealing case. As a result, he shot at the head constable.
The youth was sporting a mask and carrying a mobile phone. Hearing a noise, Garg came out of his room.
Soon after the incident, Garg’s colleagues took him to the district hospital, where the doctors referred them to Rewa Medical College.
The police team is examining the CCTV footage received from Satna, Rewa, Panna and Chitrakoot districts to arrest the culprit.
