Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): The Gwalior district administration has declared a holiday for students from nursery to class eight on January 6 amid dropping temperature and cold wave in the city.

The school timings have been changed to 10 AM to 3 PM from January 7 to January 31. This order applies to all government and private schools, as well as ICSE and CBSE schools.

The exams will continue as per the previously scheduled programme.

The collector, Ruchika Chauhan, directed the District Education Officer, Ajay Katiyar, to issue this order. It was also mentioned that exams will proceed as planned.

This decision has been taken to protect children from the cold, and the change in school timings aims to ensure their safety. The administration has instructed all schools to comply with this order.

The decision was made in response to the increasing cold and falling temperatures, aiming to safeguard children from the cold wave.

Gwalior Weather

Moderate to dense fog is expected to prevail over Gwalior, with similar weather conditions predicted for coming days.

However, the fog is expected to reduce in a few days, but the region will continue to experience chilly temperatures, making it feel even colder.
