Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): DRDO scientist Saurabh Mandal said that AI is enabling smart governance in remote and rural areas. The DRDO has also created models for providing services to citizens in challenging circumstances along with the armed forces, he said.
Mandal was speaking in the inaugural-day of the two -day workshop on ‘AI India @ MP - Workshop: Accelerating Good Governance with Innovation, Aadhaar and State Consultation’ at Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre in the city on Thursday.
Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (MPSEDC) organised the event in collaboration with National e-Governance Division (NeGD) and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
Additional chief secretary (ACS) Sanjay Dubey said that Madhya Pradesh is one of the few states where work on AI is being done at a rapid pace. The state has started using AI technology in administration.
He said Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country where e-registry is being done from home through Sampada 2.0 portal. IIM Indore Dean, Prof Prashant Salwan informed administrative officers about emerging technologies and ethics related to data collection and applications.
