Ashoknagar (Madhya Pradesh): Six people were injured while saving a 8-year-old boy after a wild jackal grabbed grabbed himin Ashoknagar on Wednesday.
The jackal entered Khoksi Chakk village in Ashoknagar district and attacked residents on Tuesday night. The sudden incident left the village in panic.
The attack began when 8-year-old Prince Yadav was grabbed by the jackal and dragged away. His loud screams alerted his grandparents, who rushed out and bravely chased the animal away, saving the boy.

However, the jackal returned and bit Prince’s grandmother, Bala Bai Yadav. It then entered nearby houses and attacked four more people — Sushila, Ganga Ram, Krishna, and Nepal.
Terrified but determined, villagers gathered with sticks and stones and drove the jackal out of the area. The injured were taken to Ashoknagar District Hospital in a private vehicle. Doctors are currently treating them, and all are reported to be in stable condition.
Authorities have been informed, and the village remains on alert to avoid any further incidents.
Among all, little Prince Yadav got the most injuries. The village is still in fear, and people are asking forest officials to take action so such attacks do not happen again. Everyone is praying for the speedy recovery of the injured.
