Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A 21-year-old junior doctor jumped off the fourth floor of his hostel building in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur on Thursday. He has been admitted to the ICU in a critical condition.
The incident took place at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College around 11 AM.
The boy named Shivansh Gupta, hails from Rewa. He was pursuing his studies at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College in Jabalpur and was residing in the college hostel. According to information, on Thursday morning, he went to his balcony of building number 4 and suddenly jumped.
Hearing the thud sound, other junior doctors present at the hostel heard rushed to the spot. They found him lying in a pool of blood and immediately took him to the hospital.

Doctors at the college hospital said his condition is extremely serious. He has been admitted to the ICU for treatment. Shivansh’s parents, who work in Delhi-Gurgaon, have been informed about the incident.

After the incident, senior college officials, including the dean, hospital staff, and local police, reached the spot to look into the matter.
The police are currently investigating why Shivansh took such a step. They are speaking to students and staff to gather more information.
Police have not found any note so far and are waiting for Shivansh to regain consciousness for further statements.
