Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Two separate cases of rape committed with woman and girl on pretext of marriage have been reported from the district during the last 24 hours.
Madhav Nagar police registered a case and began searching for the accused in the case of raping a woman working in a private hospital on pretext of marriage.
TI Rakesh Bharti said that a woman working as an HR manager in a private hospital has registered a rape case against Mayank Bagri, resident of Suraj Nagar, Piplinaka. The woman said that Mayank trapped her in love and made false promises of marriage and kept raping her for the last three years.
Mayank also took loan from a bank in the woman’s name and did not pay instalments. When the woman pressured him for marriage, he refused and threatened her.
Likewise, in a crime under Section 64(2)(m),137(2),87 of BNS, 51, 6 POCSO Act, accused Deepak (21), resident of village Pirjhalar was arrested and produced in court, from where he was sent to jail.
On March 29, a report was made by the complainant at Badnagar police station that the accused had committed immoral acts with the victim several times by luring her with marriage. Accused Deepak was going to get married on April 15.
The accused was doing immoral work by deceiving the girl on pretext of marriage for about 4 years.
