Mumbai Indians' owner Akash Ambani was given a hilarious jump scare by skipper Hardik Pandya after the IPL 2025 game against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. In a video surfaced on social media, Hardik was operating a robot dog and it jumped suddenly, prompting Akash to step back.
Pandya and co. reigned supreme in the high-voltage contest against the Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium, defeating them by nine wickets and registered a hat-trick of wins. With CSK put into bat first, half-centuries from Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja propelled the Yellow Army to what seemed like a competitive total of 176/5. However, Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav were unstoppable on the night, plundering 11 sixes in their unbeaten half-centuries.
As a result, the home side coasted through to a nine-wicket victory only in 15.4 overs
In the process, Mumbai Indians have won three consecutive matches now and Super Kings find themselves at the brink.
"You don't have to worry about Rohit's form" - Hardik Pandya
At the post-game presentation, Pandya reflected that it's a relief to see Suryakumar and Rohit bat the way they did. With Rohit making a big score after a string of lean scores, the seam-bowling all-rounder claimed that people need not be worried about his form.
"The way we are playing the sport. We knew it was going to be high-scoring. The way Rohit and Suryakumar bat, it is a relief from outside. You don't have to worry about Rohit's form. He's gonna come good like this. We knew when he comes good, the opposition will be out. SKY complemented him. People are stepping up."
