VIDEO: Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol Assists Injured Pune Couple In Returning Safely After Phuket Accident

Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol took to X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday evening to share how he helped a couple from Pune who were injured in an accident in Phuket return home.

According to information received, a couple from Bhosari in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Shubham Phuge and his wife Siddhi, were injured while playing on a swing in Phuket. They had gone on vacation with another couple from the city.

Mohol wrote, "I learned about the accident through the relatives of the injured couple. Immediately, my department took appropriate action, obtained the necessary permissions and brought the couple safely to India. Coordinating with the airlines, stretcher arrangements were made for them on the flight. All systems were implemented on a war footing to bring them back to India. With the help of a sensitive administration and effective systems, they were successfully treated at Sancheti Hospital in Pune."

"Currently, both of them are doing well. I wanted to meet them. However, since I was busy in Delhi for the budget session of Parliament, they thanked me through a video call," he added.

"I remain determined to be ready in such situations, considering it a social responsibility to lend a helping hand to the needy. The satisfaction that comes from such work is definitely great," the Pune MP further stated.
