Pune: MIT-ADT University Kicks Off 10th Batch Orientation With 'Vidyarambh-25'; Foundation Day To Follow On August 11
The inaugural session was held under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, Founder-President of the MIT Group of Institutions and renowned spiritual thinker.

MIT Art, Design and Technology (MIT-ADT) University, Pune, commenced its three-day orientation program ‘Vidyarambh-25’ on Wednesday, August 6, to welcome its 10th batch of newly admitted students. The grand event is being held at the specially erected Swami Vivekananda Mandapam on campus, in the presence of thousands of students and their parents.
The inaugural session was held under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, Founder-President of the MIT Group of Institutions and renowned spiritual thinker. Distinguished guests who graced the ceremony included Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Secretary, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India; Prof. Dr. Suresh Gosavi, Vice-Chancellor, Savitribai Phule Pune University; and Mr. Maninderjeet Singh Bitta, Chairman, All India Anti-Terrorist Front (AIATF).
Key university dignitaries such as Prof. Dr. Mangesh T. Karad (Executive President), Prof. Dr. Rajesh S. (Vice-Chancellor), Prof. Dr. Sunita Karad, Prof. Jyoti Dhakane, Prof. Vinayak Ghaisas (Executive Directors), Dr. Ramchandra Pujeri and Dr. Mohit Dubey (Pro-Vice Chancellors), and Dr. Mahesh Chopde (Registrar) were also present.
The ongoing orientation aims to introduce students to the academic framework, cultural environment, and innovative learning practices of the university. It includes motivational talks, interactive sessions with industry experts, and student-led cultural performances. Speaking at a press conference, Dr. Mahesh Chopde shared that the university has once again witnessed a significant number of new admissions, and Vidyarambh-25 has been thoughtfully curated to offer students an inspiring start to their academic journey.
MIT-ADT University will celebrate its 10th Foundation Day on Monday, August 11, with a grand function on campus. Renowned actor and Maharashtra Bhushan & Padma Shri awardee Ashok Saraf will be felicitated during the event.
He will be joined by esteemed chief guests Padma Shri Dr. Nagarajan Vedachalam, senior scientist from ISRO, and Prof. Dr. N.P. Padhy, Director of Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT). Thousands of students, faculty, and non-teaching staff are expected to attend this milestone celebration.
