RBI, Raigad Administration Launch 3-Month Re-KYC Drive For Jan Dhan Account Holders

Speaking about the drive, a spokesperson for the Raigad administration said, “Re-KYC is essential for maintaining the validity of Jan Dhan accounts. Without it, accounts risk being deactivated, which would cut off access to government subsidies, insurance, and pension benefits. Through these camps, we are taking the service directly to people’s doorsteps.”

Navi Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), in coordination with local banks and the Raigad district administration, has rolled out a three-month campaign to help Jan Dhan account holders complete their Re-KYC process and enroll in key central government social security schemes. The initiative, running from July 1 to September 30, 2025, is aimed at ensuring that beneficiaries’ accounts remain active and that they continue to receive the benefits of government programs.

District Lead Bank Manager Vijaykumar Kulkarni added that the Gram Panchayat-level camps will provide Re-KYC services for low-risk accounts, as per RBI norms, and also facilitate enrollment in the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, and Atal Pension Yojana.

About The Campaign

The campaign was inaugurated on July 3 by District Collector Kishan Jawale and Chief Executive Officer Neha Bhosale. A major outreach event is scheduled for August 11 at the Agri Samaj Vikas Manch, Chinchpada, Pen, where senior RBI officials, including Executive and Regional Directors, will interact with citizens. The event, supported by bank staff from Pen and Wadkhal, will also offer facilities for opening new Jan Dhan accounts and updating KYC records.

“We urge all residents, especially from rural and semi-urban areas, to attend these camps in large numbers and secure their eligibility for government benefits,” the spokesperson emphasized.
