Angaraki Sankashti Chaturthi 2025: Traffic Restrictions Near Siddhivinayak Temple On August 12; Check Details

The Mumbai Traffic Police has announced traffic regulations that will be enforced on August 12, in the area surrounding Siddhivinayak Temple in Prabhadevi due to the observance of Angarki Sankashti Chaturthi.

Mumbai: Mumbai Traffic Police has issued a notice regarding traffic restrictions that will be implemented on August 12, 2025, around the Siddhivinayak Temple in Prabhadevi in light of Angarki Sankashti Chaturthi.

According to officials, a significant number of devotees are expected to visit Shree Siddhivinayak Mandir for the occasion, which is likely to cause congestion in the surrounding areas. "There will be large number of devotees at Shree Siddhivinayak Mandir, Prabhadevi which may affect traffic of the roads in the vicinity of Shree Siddhivinayak temple, hence, the traffic restrictions have been imposed on August 12 on temporary basis," the police said, as reported Midday.

As per the official traffic notification, these temporary measures will be enforced from 6 am to midnight on Tuesday, August 12, to manage the crowd and ensure smooth traffic flow.

According to report, to facilitate safe and orderly movement of both pilgrims and residents, the Mumbai Traffic Police has also announced a series of traffic adjustments in the area surrounding the temple. Several important roads will either be fully closed or will have restricted access to vehicles during the day.

Traffic movement will be impacted on the following roads:

S. Veer Savarkar Road (SVS Road)

S. K. Bole Road

Gokhale Road (South and North)

Kakasaheb Gadgil Marg

Sayani Road

Appasaheb Marathe Marg

Road Closures and Restrictions:

Vehicles will not be allowed to enter S.K. Bole Road from Gokhale Road and Agar Bazar junction.

Entry of vehicles will be restricted on Datta Raul Road and N. M. Kale Road from Gokhale Road.

SVS Road, stretching from Siddhivinayak Temple Junction to S.K. Bole Road, will be completely closed to vehicular traffic.

The right turn from Leningrad Chowk on Sayani Road towards Shankar Ghanekar Marg will be shut.

The left turn from Ravindranath Natya Mandir will also remain inaccessible.

Police have stated that local residents living in the vicinity of the Siddhivinayak Temple will be granted access to their homes as needed. Motorists are urged to take alternative routes, follow traffic signage, and comply with the directions of on-duty traffic personnel to avoid any inconvenience.
