Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Auto Driver Strangled By Wife, Her Lover In Murder Bid; Accused On Run

A woman with the help of her paramour tried to kill her husband by strangulating him as he was posing an obstruction in her illicit relations. The incident occurred in Komalnagar in Padegaon area on August 2 night in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

A case has been registered against two accused with the Cantonment police station. The accused have been identified as Sheela Suresh Khalapure (36, Komalnagar) and Raju Bhanudas Khaire (Paithan). The police have arrested Raju but Sheela is still at large.

As per the complaint lodged by victim Suresh Shrimant Khalapure (42), he is an auto-rickshaw driver and lives with his wife Sheela in Komalnagar in Padegaon area. Sheela works in a private company in Waluj industrial area, where she met Raju Khaire and they developed an illicit relationship.

Here's how they did it

On Saturday, he came home in the evening. He had dinner and slept at around 11 pm. Later, Sheela kept the door open and let Raju come in the house. Both of them then kept a pillow on Suresh’s face and tried to strangulate him. They kept the sound of the TV loud so that the noise should not go out of the house. However, Suresh pushed both of them and shouted for help. His house owner and neighbours immediately rushed in house and helped Suresh. They nabbed Raju but Sheela fled away with her nine years old son.
