Nashik: While tension is going on in the Mahayuti over the post of guardian minister of Nashik, on Independence Day, Girish Mahajan of Jalgaon has been given the honour of hoisting the flag despite the district having four ministers.
Against this backdrop, a decision taken by the state's food supply minister, Chhagan Bhujbal, has highlighted his displeasure with the government. It is being said that Bhujbal refused to hoist the flag at Gondia district citing health reasons. Therefore, now this responsibility has been entrusted to Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha.

The list of guardian ministers in the state was announced in January. At that time, the responsibility of Nashik was given to Girish Mahajan. However, both the Shinde Sena and Ajit Pawar's NCP expressed their displeasure over this.
Due to this, Mahajan's appointment as the guardian minister was immediately cancelled, and Nashik is still waiting an appointment for this post.
