Thane: A blaze erupted at a cafe located in a multi-storey residential structure in Thane, Maharashtra, on Thursday morning, leading to the evacuation of 35 residents, officials stated. Thane Municipal Corporation’s disaster management chief Yasin Tadvi reported that there have been no casualties thus far.
The blaze ignited at Parsik Cafe, situated on the ground floor of a six-story structure in Kharegaon, Kalwa (West), he stated. The café’s owner notified the disaster management cell about the incident at 4:58 am. The 1,000 sq ft venue is situated within the Chandrabhaga Park complex located in Parsik Nagar, Kalwa, the official mentioned.
The structure contains another section, where occupants were resting when the fire started. "For safety reasons, all residents of Chandrabhaga Park B Wing were safely evacuated with the help of the fire department and disaster management cell personnel," Tadvi stated according to report by PTI.

The fire inflicted severe destruction within the café, destroying tables, chairs, grates, refrigerators, cabinets, and various kitchen appliances, according to the official. Firefighters were quickly sent to the location, and the blaze was contained by 6:25 am, he further stated.
