The Ulhasnagar Police have registered two FIRs against the organisers of two Ganpati Sarvajanik Mandals for allegedly violating noise pollution and traffic regulations by conducting processions without prior police permission.
FIRs Filed Against Two Mandals
According to officials, FIRs have been filed against Vighnaharta Ganesh Mandal and Seven Star Ganesh Mandal for taking out Ganpati processions with Dhol-Tasha and public participation, leading to traffic disruptions on Tuesday.
No Prior Police Permission
"The organisers did not obtain permission from the local police station to carry out the processions," said DCP Sachin Gore, Ulhasnagar Division. "They violated noise and traffic norms during the events held in Ulhasnagar. A report regarding the noise levels has been sent to the Noise Pollution Control Board for further action."
Statements to Be Recorded
The police said that the organisers have been summoned to the police station to record their statements. A detailed investigation will be conducted, following which a chargesheet will be filed in court.
