Mumbai: A wave of grief has swept across Maharashtra following a horrifing terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, which claimed the lives of six people from the state.
The victims identified as Sanjay Lele, Dilip Disle, Kaustubh Ganavate, Santosh Jagdale, Hemant Joshi, and Atul Mone were part of a group of tourists visiting the region when tragedy struck.
The mortal remains of the deceased back to their respective hometowns. According to official sources, an Air India flight carrying the remains of Sanjay Lele and Dilip Disle departed from Srinagar at 12:15 PM and is scheduled to arrive in Mumbai later today. Another flight, departing at 1:15 PM, is bringing back the remains of Hemant Joshi and Atul Mone, also to Mumbai.

Kaustubh Ganavate and Santosh Jagdale, both from Pune, will be flown back on a separate flight departing Srinagar at 6 PM. The mortal remains are expected to arrive in Pune the same evening.
To oversee the proceedings and ensure smooth coordination, Maharashtra Ministers Ashish Shelar and Mangalprabhat Lodha are stationed at Mumbai Airport. Minister Madhuritai Misal has been assigned to manage the arrangements at Pune Airport. Meanwhile, Minister Girish Mahajan is en route to Srinagar to monitor the situation on the ground and assist in further coordination.
