Navi Mumbai Congress Screens Rahul Gandhi’s Press Meet On Voter List Irregularities
District Congress president Poonam Mithun Patil said the move is aimed at increasing public awareness of the concerns raised by Gandhi. “We want citizens to directly hear what was said by Rahul Gandhi on this crucial issue that affects democracy. Voter list manipulation is not just a political matter; it affects the core of free and fair elections,” she stated.

The Navi Mumbai District Congress Committee screened Congress leader and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi’s recent press conference on alleged irregularities in the voters’ list and “vote theft” by the Election Commission,
The special screening was held at 5:00 pm on Monday at the Congress Bhavan in Vashi.
The press conference, originally held in New Delhi, saw Gandhi accusing the Election Commission of allowing serious lapses in the electoral rolls, which he claimed could influence poll outcomes. He called for transparency, corrective action, and public vigilance ahead of upcoming elections.
Following the screening, Patil interacted with audience comprising residents and media personnel to discuss the matter in the context of Navi Mumbai and Maharashtra, including alleged local instances of voter list discrepancies. Party workers, civic leaders, and residents have been invited to attend.
The Congress has been holding similar events in various districts across the state to amplify Gandhi’s allegations and demand accountability from the poll panel.
