Mumbai: Mumbai police have stepped up security measures to protect comedian Kapil Sharma following two firing incidents at his café in Canada. A senior police official confirmed on Monday that adequate security has been arranged to ensure Sharma’s safety, though details of the arrangements were not disclosed.

On August 8, shots were fired at Kapil Sharma’s recently opened restaurant, Kap’s Café, located in Surrey, British Columbia. This marked the second such incident in less than a month, with a similar attack occurring on July 10. The café officially opened on July 4, as reported by news agency PTI.

After the first incident, Mumbai police had visited Sharma’s residence in Oshiwara to assess the situation and provide support. Following the second attack, authorities have increased security measures for the comedian.

Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Warns Bollywood After Canada Café Attack, Targeting Kapil Sharma Over Salman Khan

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has intensified its threats after a second shooting at comedian Kapil Sharma’s café, “Caps Café,” in Surrey, Canada. On Friday, the gang released an audio message, reportedly from Bishnoi’s close aide Harry Boxer, claiming responsibility for the attack and linking it to Bollywood star Salman Khan’s appearance on the premiere of Sharma’s Netflix show.

The attack took place on Thursday when assailants fired at least 25 rounds at the café. The gang stated that the assault was retaliation for Kapil Sharma inviting Salman Khan to launch Season 2 of “The Great Indian Kapil Show.”

In the threatening audio, Boxer warned, “Whoever works with Salman Khan will be finished by the Bishnoi gang; they will be killed.” He added there would be no more warnings, saying, “Next time, bullets will be fired straight at the chest.”

The message also promised to create widespread chaos in Mumbai, naming producers, directors, and actors as potential targets. “Anyone collaborating with Salman Khan will be responsible for their own death,” the voice declared.
