A family of Yadavs runs the vada-pav stall. The family employed an assistant named Pavan Dubey at the stall because he was from their hometown. Eventually, Dubey left the job when he decided he didn't want to continue. A dispute emerged last week when a Yadav family member posted on Facebook a picture of a woman associated with Dubey. This angered Dubey, and he prompted the family to delete the post.

Despite the photo's removal, a fierce dispute broke out on Monday between Dubey and the Yadavs. On Wednesday, the dispute intensified into violence when Dubey showed up with a Swiss knife and injured three individuals from the Yadav family at the vada-pav stall. As a result, a Yadav family member seized the knife and stabbed Dubey.

The authorities were informed immediately, and the four injured persons were swiftly transported to Babasaheb Ambedkar Hospital in Kandivli. They underwent care and are currently safe.
