Mumbai Crime News: Police Arrest 4 Accused Of Stealing Gold Jewellery Worth ₹47 Lakh From Manufacturing Units
The police in Kandivali and Dahisar have arrested four individuals for allegedly stealing gold jewellery valued at Rs 47 lakh from two jewellery manufacturing units where they were formerly employed.

Mumbai: In a significant breakthrough, Kandivali and Dahisar police have arrested four individuals for allegedly stealing gold jewellery worth Rs 47 lakh from two jewellery manufacturing units where they were previously employed. Investigators have so far recovered gold worth Rs 27 lakh from the accused, believed to have been stolen over the past month.
The incident came to light when Mehul Soni, the owner of a jewellery workshop in Dahisar, noticed a discrepancy of 264 grams of gold during an April inventory audit, according to a Hindustan Times report. One of his workers, SK Anisur Salem, had stopped reporting to work and was unreachable.

According to a report, in a separate case, Ajanmian Nanu Gaji, who owns a gold jewellery manufacturing factory in Islam Compound, Kandivali, approached the police after discovering that three gold necklaces valued at Rs 23 lakh were missing. The accused, Razzak Hussain Malik, who had been working at her shop for six months, had since vanished. The Kandivali police arrested Malik along with his accomplice, Sheikh Jaid Ali, on June 3.
All four accused, aged between 25 and 35, have been charged under Section 306 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which pertains to theft committed by clerks or servants. They were presented before the metropolitan magistrate’s court in Borivali and are currently in police custody. Authorities are investigating whether the gang was involved in similar thefts at other jewellery production facilities.
