Mumbai: A 55-year-old man, who is the victim's uncle, has been booked for allegedly assaulting a 38-year-old transgender woman with a knife and making rape threats. The Goregaon police have registered a case and are currently investigating the incident. The victim resides in Goregaon East with three other transgender women.
The dispute occurred over a property that is currently undergoing redevelopment. The victim, a trans woman living in Goregaon East, alleged that her uncle had illegally transferred the ownership of the property into his name without the consent of other rightful family members, according to The Times Of India report.

The incident happened when the victim visited his residence to confront him about the matter and to demand her fair share of the property once the redevelopment was complete, as reported. What started as a discussion quickly escalated into a heated argument.
In a fit of rage, the uncle allegedly assaulted her with a knife, stabbing her in the back and making threats of rape. The victim sought medical treatment for her injuries caused by the assault. Disturbed by the incident, she approached the Goregaon police to file a formal complaint. A case has been registered, and the officials are currently investigating the matter.

Malad Live-In Couple Booked By Malvani Police For Assaulting 3 Children
The Malvani police have detained a live-in couple from Malad following allegations of assaulting their three children. The action was taken after the woman’s mother filed a complaint. As per police officials, 32-year-old Chetna Patil and her partner, 40-year-old Pankaj Kumar, had been living near Patil’s mother, 54-year-old Poonam Parmar, who raised concerns about repeated incidents of physical abuse involving the couple’s children.
According to a report by the Hindustan Times, the family lives in Malvani, close to Parmar’s residence. Patil has a seven-year-old son, Priyank, from a previous marriage, and two younger children, one-year-old Raghav and two-year-old Vivani, from her current relationship with Kumar.
