Mumbai Crime News: Local Goon Kills Youth In Aarey Colony Over Conflict Involving Unauthorised Huts; Police Investigation Ongoing | Representative Image

Mumbai: A violent clash occurred on Saturday evening over the construction of an illegal hut, resulting in the death of an individual named Furkhan in Aarey Colony Unit 32, Goregaon area. The attack was carried out by local goon Joharuddin, known as Bada Kalu, who used a pointed implement. In the ensuing chaos, Joharuddin suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized. The police have launched an investigation, filing cases against five individuals and arresting two. Unlawful hut construction is prevalent in the area, leading to ongoing conflicts between local factions. Aarey police intervened promptly to control the situation after the incident was reported.

Joharuddin alias Bada Kalu is a notorious gangster from Unit 32 area. While giving information about this, Aarey police said that Joharuddin builds unauthorized huts and sells them. His family is also very scared in the area. He has more than 35 cases registered against him, including theft, fighting, attempted murder, extortion, terrorizing, etc.

He had served his sentence of deportation two months ago. He could not tolerate someone else building unauthorized huts in his area. He carried out this attack out of anger, said Aarey police.

Aarey police have filed a case against 5 individuals, including Joharuddin, also known as Bada Kalu, his brother Azharuddin, their mother Razia, and sister-in-law Afreen in connection with this matter. Razia and Afreen have been detained, while Azharuddin is on the run. Authorities stated that Joharuddin will be taken into custody once he is released from the hospital. The suspects were apprehended within one hour of the offense.

Following the direction of Deputy Commissioner of Police for Zone 12, Smita Patil, Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Patil, Assistant Police Inspector Sudhir Chavan, Sub-Inspector Sampat Ghuge, Sachin Panchal, and their team at Aarey Police Station acted in this matter and apprehended the suspect.
