Where does India stand?

India ranks 42nd globally, with a Life-Work Balance Index score of 45.81/100. While the country does offer a notable 35 days of statutory annual leave, it lags in areas like minimum wage, universal healthcare coverage, and work hour limits, areas that directly impact employee well-being.

Despite being one of the world's fastest-growing economies, the country has yet to prioritise softer factors like workplace flexibility, mental health support, and parental care, which can drastically improve the quality of work-life.
