Daylight Robbery In Vikhroli: Woman Assaulted, 50g Gold Looted From Home

An alarming incident of daylight robbery has sent shockwaves through Vikhroli West’s Parksite area. On July 7, an unidentified intruder forcibly entered the home of a 54-year-old Nurjaha Munaf Khan in BMC Colony (Building No. 24), brutally assaulted her, and fled with gold ornaments weighing around 50 grams. The Parksite Police have registered a case and launched a manhunt to trace the accused.

According to the FIR filed by Munaf Rahim Khan,65, a tailor by profession, he resides in the building with his wife Nurjaha. Their son, Ramiz, lives in Australia, while their daughter Anuba is studying in Gujarat. On the day of the incident, Munaf had gone to his shop as usual, leaving Nurjaha alone at home.

At around 2:20 PM, an unknown man entered the house and violently attacked Nurjaha. He snatched four gold bangles weighing 40 grams from her hands and a 10-gram gold chain from her neck, then fled the scene. The attack left Nurjaha seriously injured. Despite her injuries, she managed to inform her husband about the incident.

Munaf rushed home and immediately took his wife to Rajawadi Hospital for initial treatment and later shifted her to a private hospital for further care. After ensuring her safety, he filed a complaint at the Parksite Police Station.

The robbery has caused panic in the neighborhood. Based on the complaint, the Parksite Police have registered a case under sections 309(6) and 333 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify and trace the accused.
