Mandleshwar (Madhya Pradesh): An 18-year-old youth was kidnapped and brutally assaulted over a dispute regarding a birthday photo with a girl on Tuesday.
As per reports, the incident occurred at Thangaon pond, when Piyush Verma was with his friends and four individuals identified as Anmol Rathore (33), Anand Rathore (30), Rupesh Kushwaha (24) and Ravi Pansare (32), forcibly abducted him in a car and took him to a secluded area on Mandleshwar-Choli Road.
Once there, the attackers verbally abused Piyush's family and subjected him to severe physical violence. In his statement to the police, Piyush said that he was beaten with various objects including a wooden stick, an iron rod, a belt and a pipe which resulted in serious injuries to his face, hands, back and stomach. The assailants also threatened to kill him if reports the incident to the police.

After the physical assualt, Piyush's family promptly filed a complaint at the local police station. Acting swiftly, SDOP Shweta Shukla and police station in-charge Deepak Yadav formed a special team and apprehended all four suspects within 24 hours.
The accused are currently being interrogated and a case has been registered under sections 140(3) , 296 , 115(2), 351(3) and 3(5) of the BNS. Piyush received initial treatment at the government hospital in Mandleshwar before being referred to Khargone district hospital for further treatment. The victim's family is demanding strict action against the perpetrators.
