Indore: Woman Killed In Mishap As E-Rikshaw Overturns On Way To Meet Kin Before Eid | FPJ

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 55-year-old woman on her way to meet relatives on Eid, was killed after the e-rickshaw in which she was sitting collided with a car and overturned. The incident occurred at around 12 pm at Azad Nagar Gol Square on Monday. She sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to MY Hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the square, showing the collision and the e-rickshaw overturning.

She was travelling in the e-rickshaw along with other passengers

Azad Nagar police station in-charge Vijay Singh Sisodiya said the deceased was identified as Farida, wife of Mohammad Rafiq, a resident of Badwali Chowki. She was travelling in the e-rickshaw along with other passengers. The e-rickshaw collided with the driver’s side of a car at the square, and when the car moved forward, the e-rickshaw overturned, injuring Farida and other passengers. Farida fell on the road, suffering severe head injuries that led to her death.

Farida was going to her relative’s house

According to reports, Farida was going to her relative’s house to celebrate Eid. Her husband owns a quilt and mattress shop, and the couple has three sons and a daughter.

The police have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances which led to the accident .

In another incident, a 50-year-old man was killed in a road accident under Tejaji Nagar police station limits on Monday morning. The accident occurred at Rishabh Vihar Colony. The deceased was identified as Kalu Singh, a resident of Mandleshwar, Khargone.
