Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The family members of a woman beat a 30-year-old man here over an alleged illicit relationship late on Saturday night.
The incident took place in an open field under Tejaji Nagar police station limits, after she called the victim there in the presence of her family members.
When the victim arrived, the woman’s father, brother and a relative attacked him with wooden sticks, causing fatal injuries.
According to the police, the deceased was identified as Sanjay Yadav, a driver and a native of Jhansi.
Additional DCP (Zone-1) Alok Kumar Sharma said both Sanjay and the woman, Archana Yadav, were married and had reportedly been in an illicit relationship for the past four years.

The woman had stopped speaking to Sanjay after her family learned about the relationship. However, he continued pressuring her to talk to him and meet him.
On Saturday night, she called him to the open field in Morod, where her father Munnalal Yadav, brother Rohit Yadav and nephew Shubham Yadav were waiting.
They attacked Sanjay with wooden sticks, resulting in fatal injuries. The victim was rushed to the hospital but he could not be saved.
Police arrested the woman and all three accused after registering a murder case under relevant sections of the BNS. Further investigation is underway.
