Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A special drive ‘Har Ghar Tiranga, Har Ghar Swachhata: Independence Ka Utsav, Swachhata Ke Sang’ will be run in three phases in the district from Tuesday till August 15.

Extensive preparations are underway for the campaign which is aimed at inducing a feeling of patriotism and cleanliness among the people.

Collector Asheesh Singh reviewed the preparations for the campaign in a meeting held here on Monday. CEO of Smart City Project Divyank Singh, district panchayat CEO Siddharth Jain, CEO Indore Development Authority (IDA) RP Ahirwar, additional collectors Rinkesh Vaishya, Roshan Rai, Nisha Damor and senior officers of various departments were present.

The preparations were reviewed in detail as per the instructions of the Government of India and the state government. The campaign will be run in three phases in the district, in which various activities will be organized with the aim of ensuring public participation, awakening respect for the national flag and increasing public awareness towards cleanliness.

Collector Singh directed that the campaign should be effectively implemented in every urban and rural area. Along with cleanliness, public participation should be ensured through Tiranga Yatras, street plays, rallies, competitions in schools and public relations activities.

In the first phase of the campaign till August 8, public programmes and discussions will be organized to awaken the feeling of patriotism and focus on the Tricolor.

Along with this, activities like display of art inspired by the Tricolor, exhibition, rangoli, rakhi making, tricolor weaving, quiz on the national flag, flag decoration and lighting and letter writing to soldiers and policemen will be conducted.

It was disclosed in the meeting that in the second phase of the campaign from August 9 to 12, work will be done to bring people together via publicity, availability of flags and visibility of the Tricolor at public places. There will be programmes like Tricolor Mela focusing on local products, Tricolor concert, Tricolor bike and cycle rally, Tiranga Yatra with high public participation,  human chain formation etc.

In the third phase of the campaign from August 13 to 15, the Tricolor will be hoisted on houses, offices and vehicles and selfies will be uploaded.
