Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) is set to conduct its Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) on Monday for admission to PhD programmes in 13 subjects. A total of 217 candidates are expected to appear for the computer-based exam at centres designated by MP Online.

The entrance test will take place in a single session from 9 am to 11 am. However, candidates have been instructed to report by 7 am for multi-level verification, including photo ID checks, document verification and biometric authentication.

According to university officials, 102 seats are available across disciplines such as Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Energy, Pharmacy, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, Electronics and Instrumentation, Electronics and Telecommunication and Information Technology.

The test will consist of two papers — Research Methodology and a subject-specific paper — each containing 50 multiple-choice questions. Candidates will receive one mark per correct answer and there will be no negative marking.

PhD cell incharge in DAVV, Prof Ashesh Tiwari said that all preparations for the exam have been finalised. A control room has been set up at the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) campus to oversee the process.

Besides, two observers have been appointed to ensure smooth conduct at the examination centre. The university plans to release the answer key by June 20.
