Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The 10th power grid built in Indore district under RDSS, an important scheme of the Union Ministry of Power, was energised with protocol on Wednesday.
This 33/11 kV grid has been built in Limboda Gari of Depalpur area at a cost of Rs 2.94 crore. Due to this, thousands of consumers will get electricity of better quality than before and there will be no problem of voltage fluctuations.
Under RDSS, the country's first grid was built in Imlikheda near Aurbindo Hospital in Indore. Apart from this, 33/11 kV grids of 5-5 MVA capacity have been built under RDSS near Super Specialty Hospital, Dewas Naka, Rasoma, near Bilawali pond, near Panchkuiya, near Badiyakima Bichauli, Rajoda, Gangadam Kampel.
These grids built under RDSS have increased the power distribution capacity of Indore district by 50 MVA. Managing director of Madhya Pradesh West Zone Electricity Distribution Company, Anoop Kumar Singh informed that 71 grids have been prepared through RDSS in the company area, the maximum number of grids have been prepared in Indore and Ujjain districts, 10 each.
Eight grids have been prepared in Shajapur district, 7 in Khandwa, 6 in Ratlam, 5 each in Khargone, Burhanpur and Dewas districts. Grids have also been prepared in the remaining districts.
