India’s cricketing superstar Rohit Sharma is well known not just for his elegant strokeplay but also for his impeccable sense of humor, and he didn’t disappoint at a recent public appearance. During a book launch event of 'The Diary of a Cricketer's Wife' by Cheteshwar Pujara's wife, Puja Pujara, Rohit delivered a classic one-liner that left the audience in splits.
As the anchor extended the microphone to him for a comment, Rohit, with his trademark deadpan expression, held up his own mic and said, “Hai hai mere pass,” a hilarious way of saying, “Oh no, I already have one.” His timing and delivery drew laughter from everyone present, turning a formal gathering into a moment of lighthearted joy.

This isn’t the first time Rohit has brought comic relief to public events. His sharp wit and quick responses have become a beloved part of his personality, whether it's at press conferences, team meetings, or even during high-pressure matches.
'I Was Mobbed': Cheteshwar Pujara Reveals Shocking Story Of His Experience In West Indies While Playing For India A; Watch Video
Out-of-favour Indian Test batter Cheteshwar Pujara has revealed a stunning story about him getting mobbed during India's A tour of West Indies in 2012. Pujara disclosed that since he is a vegetarian, he was keen to find a similar meal but got in trouble while walking back.
The Saurashtra batter had been a mainstay of the Indian team for numerous years before getting dropped in 2022. Although the veteran made a comeback during the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia in 2023, failure in both innings forced the selectors to wield the axe again.
Speaking during a book launch after Rohit Sharma compelled him, Pujara revealed: "I haven't told but she is aware. But she doesn't have the details. I'm a vegetarian. So we were looking for a vegetarian meal at night. And it was in T&T, where we went out at 11 in the evening. We didn't find the meal but when we were walking back, I was mobbed. I can't tell you in detail about it. But that's the story he is referring to."
Rohit said next, "Moral of the story is, sometimes he can be stubborn. We told him, we warned him, 'don't go in the night'. 9 baje ke baad raat ko bahar mat nikalna. Yeh West Indies hai. (Don't step out after 9, this is the West Indies).
