Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh): The assistant commandant of 24th Battalion in Jaora attempted suicide by ingesting a large amount of depression pills on Friday morning. Before consuming the pills, he participated in the battalion's parade in the morning.
As per reports, Rambabu Pathak was rushed to a private clinic by his family members. Later, he was referred to Ratlam Medical College and subsequently transferred to Bombay Hospital, Indore.

His daughter Muskan and his wife accused senior officers of the battalion of harassment. They said Rambabu had been suffering from depression since 2020 and had been advised by doctors to take rest, but the department seniors said that Rambabu was feigning his ailment.
Posted a suicide note on social media
According to reports, he had posted a suicide note on a social media platform, which was later deleted. Muskan said that her father had often expressed desire to end his life daily, stating, "I am tired."
