Mumbai: Satish Salian, father of the late celebrity manager Disha Salian, has filed a petition in the Bombay High Court seeking a fresh investigation into his daughter's death. The petition alleges that Disha was a victim of rape and murder, and it specifically names Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray, among others, as individuals against whom a First Information Report (FIR) should be registered.
As per a report by Lokshahi Marathi, in response to these allegations, Thackeray said, "There has been an attempt to defame him for the past 5 years. The matter is in court, we will talk in court. Whatever happens, will happen."
Disha, who managed several Bollywood celebrities, died on June 8, 2020, after reportedly falling from a high-rise building in Mumbai. Her death, followed by the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has been a subject of intense media scrutiny and public speculation. While initial investigations by Mumbai Police suggested no foul play, calls for a more in-depth probe have persisted.
The high court has acknowledged the petition and is expected to schedule a hearing soon. This development adds a new chapter to the ongoing discourse surrounding the case, with the public and media keenly awaiting further proceedings.
