Caught On CCTV: Retired Indian Army Captain Mowed Down, Dragged For 10Ft By Speeding Car In Rajasthan's Jaipur

Jaipur: A horrific incident has come to light from Rajasthan's Jaipur, where a retired Indian Army Captain tragically lost his life after being mowed down and dragged for nearly 10 feet by a car.

Reports suggest that he got stuck under the front left wheel of the car after being hit, which led to his death. The victim has been identified as Narsaram Jajra.

The incident occurred in the early hours of August 15 (Friday) while Jajra was en route to Chitrakoot Stadium on his bicycle.

As he was riding on the left side of the road, a car rammed into him from behind, crushing him to death on the spot. The driver of the car then fled the scene. The incident was captured on CCTV.

The footage shows Jajra being struck by the car, and the driver continuing to drive away, leaving his body behind.

According to India Today, the car was being driven by a woman who was identified based on the CCTV footage and her child was sitting in the passenger seat during the time of the accident.

After the accident, the enraged family members of the deceased and locals staged a sit-in protest at Panchbatti Chowk. Later the administration and family members reached an agreement in the evening after which the protest was called off. The police registered a case. However, the accused is yet to be arrested.
