Junior X (Twitter) Review: ‘Average Commercial Movie’; Kireeti Reddy, Genelia Deshmukh, Sreeleela Starrer Gets A Mixed Response From Netizens

While in the Hindi film industry, Ahaan Panday has made his debut with Saiyaara, in the Telugu film industry, Kireeti Reddy has made his acting debut with the film Junior. He is the son of the businessman and politician Gali Janardhan Reddy. Junior, which is directed by Radhakrishna Reddy, also stars Genelia Deshmukh and Sreeleela.

Well, Junior has hit the big screens today (July 18, 2025), and while Kireeti is getting a good response for his performance, especially dance, the film has received mixed reviews from netizens.

A netizen tweeted, “A vibrant debut with flaws — but unstoppable energy. Kireeti Reddy brings charisma AND dance moves that rival Jr. NTR’s best. His chemistry with Sreeleela in Viral Vayyari is a visual explosion. Genelia’s return adds grace, while senti beats land just right in the second half.  While the plot follows familiar tropes, Devi Sri Prasad’s music, KK Senthil Kumar’s lush frames, and high-octane action make it a compelling youth entertainment ride. Promising debut, especially if you came for the vibe and dance fever! (sic).”

Another X user wrote, “Junior Movie Review ...Junior movie Average movie 1st off ok regular 1st off and 2nd off emotional 2nd off Dsp music is good Kireeti acting good So happy to see Genelia garuni. it's Decent movie (sic).”

One more netizen tweeted, “#Junior is an overall average commercial movie . But as a debutant #Kireeti has impressed everyone and specially with his dance moves he has outshined #Sreeleela in #ViralVayyari song And impressed with his acting in the climax.. Junior Box Office Collection Day 1

Junior is expected to take a slow start at the box office. The Telugu film might collect around Rs. 1.50-2 crore on its day one. It will be interesting to see if the movie will show a jump at the box office over the weekend or not.
