MP Cabinet Approves Major Initiatives: ₹6,000 Crore Aid To Discoms, Irrigation Projects, & Supplementary Budget
Like last three years, Cabinet also cleared milling incentive and upgradation mount to rice millers.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Cabinet on Tuesday cleared proposal to provide state share of 40% amounting to Rs 6,000 crore to discoms in form of share capital instead of loan under Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme of the GOI.
It will reduce load of loan and interest on power distribution companies. It will reduce load of loan and interest on power distribution companies. Like last three years, Cabinet also cleared milling incentive and upgradation mount to rice millers. The incentive of Rs 50 would ensure no problem in paddy milling. Cabinet also cleared PM Higher Education campaign.
Ken-Betwa river link project would be inaugurated likely by PM in Chhattarpur. However, the date is yet to be finalized. Besides, Kisan Sammelan would be organized in Chhattarpur, Panna, Tikamgarh, Damoh Niwari, Shivpuri, Datia, Raisen, Sagar etc. The Ken Betwa project will provide irrigation facility to 8.11 lakh hectare annually and potable water to 41 lakh people in MP and 21 lakh in Uttar Pradesh.
Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal link project would be inaugurated by Prime Minister in Jaipur on December 17. It will benefit,11 districts of the state, including Guna, Shivpuri, Shajapur, Mandsaur, Morena etc. Overall 6.13 lakh hectare will get irrigated through the project. Kisan Sammelans will be held in all these 11 districts.
CM Jan Kalyan Abhiyan
During the meeting, CM asked ministers to ensure effective start of CM Jan Kalyan Abhiyan in their districts. This campaign will mark completion of one year of state government.
The 1st supplementary budget of Rs 12,000 crore would be tabled in Winter Session. The cabinet cleared the proposal of supplementary budget on Tuesday.
